At Carlock Sealing, we engineer specialty compounds to overcome the limitations of Virgin PTFE. Our 15% Glass Fiber and 5% MoS2 filled PTFE provides a unique balance of mechanical strength and low friction. The glass fiber reinforcement significantly reduces cold flow and deformation under load, while the MoS2 (Molybdenum Disulfide) acts as a solid lubricant to enhance wear life in dynamic applications.



- Minimal Cold Flow: 15% Glass Fiber reinforcement provides 50% better compression resistance than Pure PTFE.

- Self-Lubricating Surface: 5% MoS2 reduces the starting friction and prevents heat build-up during dynamic operation.

- High Abrasion Resistance: Ideal for applications involving rougher mating surfaces or non-lubricated environments.

- Excellent Chemical Inertness: Maintains the core chemical resistance of PTFE while adding structural integrity.


Technical Disclaimer: While the addition of Glass Fiber improves mechanical strength, it may slightly affect chemical resistance in specific media (such as hydrofluoric acid). Carlock Sealing recommends verifying chemical compatibility for reinforced compounds.
